~Chapter 30: The Plan~

Tyco nodded. "How did you know him?" He said. "First Omega…" I paused. "Tyco, you're not exactly that old. You're still a pup."  Tyco grinned and nodded. I bid him no form of smile back, but I nodded back. I turned to Mike and said, "Mike? We need options…" Mike just stared ahead. "Mike?" I said. William sighed. "I can't believe this! Don, my most trusted warrior…a traitor." Lei nodded. Mike growled. "What can we do?" He whispered. "Just wait and see what they want, I guess." I sighed.

Zack was listening to us, I could tell. He smirked and threw Jack into Fang's waiting claws. Jack growled lowly but stayed quiet. "Zack, why don't you tell them the plan? You're the mastermind." Inferno said. Zack smiled coldly. "Gladly. Ping, as you may have noticed, two of your finest warriors' lives are in the claws of all the wolves who despise you." He paused. "You have to make a choice. Pick the life of one warrior. He will be spared…for now. The other will be killed in front of you." Zack grinned. Inferno laughed and padded up to Mike. "Surely it won't be easy, will it? On one paw, one warrior isn't supposed to be here. The other received permission from his own brother-in-law." Inferno leaned closer to Mike. "Chose wisely. If you don't choose, both will die."

Inferno walked back to Zack. Both laughed cruelly. Don stared at the ground. "No…I'm not picking one over another. I taught these warriors, Ping." William stammered. "Pick we must. Or die, they will." Lei sighed. Mike stared at me as if the choice was clear and easy. "Ping, how will I tell Naiomi if anything happens to Jack?" He breathed. I closed my eyes. "We have to choose the strongest…for the pack in these dark times, Mike." I said. "Don't let love cloud your judgment." Mike growled. "It's my fault they're even here! Mev wouldn't have gone if Jack didn't offer and get permission! I have to fix this!" I stomped my paw, opening my eyes. The ground shook under us. "I don't know! I just don't know!" I snarled and hung my head. More quietly I said, "Oh Zero...where are you when I need you? I can't lead this pack without my Alpha Male…" Tyco caught this and rubbed up to me. I stared at him and noticed he was in demon form. "I have a plan…" He said, his voice low. "We just have to choose the strongest and have the other fight, and then we fight." I nodded. "Let's do this."
