Last Super Wolf - Chapter 27

~Chapter 27: "Shut Up Already!"~

I gasped. "Would they really put Wolfie in here?" I said, narrowing my eyes. Mike shrugged. "He betrayed them for us. Then he betrayed us for a life of a lone wolf. It really wouldn't surprise me." He replied nonchalantly. Don spoke up. "But…Wolfie was a warrior. They could have taken him back like a king! Then gotten our secrets." Don shivered. "I agree. Why would the let him rot when they could weaken us with our own stuff?" William asked.

I shrugged. "I 'doubt Wolfie's here. He was getting past before. Let's just go and not waste our time before Thorn comes back and separates us." I said and started walking to the dens. Mike was at my side. "Ping, why didn't you tell us? They wouldn't have found out." He nagged. I shrugged. "Mike, I had stuff on my mind at the time. And, for the record, I really don't see how it would've made a difference…" I said. Mike growled. "Oh I don't know…we could have investigated Claw Pack. Or never sent Jack and Mev out. Or maybe sent an attack force here, you know? Prepared…" He snapped. I stopped at Tyco's den and turned to him. "Listen, we're here and it's over and done with! Let's just try to get out of here, alright?" I growled. "Fine…" Mike growled back.

After we had moved Tyco's boulder away from the den, Tyco started blurting out all exits to this den. "Tyco, relax. If Claw Pack returns here, prisoners will know how to escape." I chuckled. Mike glared at me. "Claw Pack won't be for a while, Ping." He said. My fur bristled. "I realize that, thanks." The patrol and Tyco stared at me and Mike, but I didn't care. Mike could be so infuriating sometimes! I was glaring at Mike through narrow slits. "Let's go…" I padded off. Tyco led us, talking a-mile-a-minute. "I saw your wolves. Uh well, heard. And smelled! …Or smelt? I don't know. Anyway, two where taken to the waaaay back. Then three where taken there after. Luckily, it's where we're going! Oh! Ping, I bet you're wonder how I got here. Well, it's a long story. You see—" On he chatted. I flattened my ears. William groaned and Lei just nodded and said "Really? Is that so? Wow!" At times. Don whined and Mike shot hostile glances at me and shook his head. Finally I cut in and said, "Gee, Tyco…this is a really nice story and all…but we could use your help again." Tyco raised an eyebrow and nodded. "Ok."
