Character Descriptions (in order of appearance):

            Blue – 3 foot tall mouse (on his hindlegs) with electric powers. He has blue fur, white underbelly cyan spots on his cheeks, and darker blue paws and ears. Blue's tail is long and sharp like a blade. It is cyan and looks like a lightning bolt. He has black eyes.

        Graybay (GB) – Graybay is 4'5 in her human form and 3'5 in her dog form. GB is a shapeshifter. In her human form, she has long red hair, green eyes, wears a neon blue and black striped shirt, blue pants, green converse, and a blue ribbon with a skull on it in her hair. In dog form, she has orange fur and wears a neon blue and black striped bandanna. She also has black swirls on her ears.

        Screwy – Screwy is a 1 ½ feet tall puppy who escaped animal testing. She has black fur, red paws, a cream colored muzzle, pink eyes, baby blue ears, a brown spot on her right eye, and one cream, black, brown, and baby stripe on her tail. She also has screws in both of her ears and wears a cyan collar with screws in it. Her pendent on the collar has the letter "S" on it.

        Ping – Ping is a 4 ½ foot tall wolf. She has unusual powers that she only uses if needed. She also has a darker side to her…Ping has light grey fur with a maroon underbelly. Her legs are maroon also. The top of her tail is light grey while the bottom is maroon. The very tip is brown. She has brown paws and a brown muzzle. She has two darker grey spots above her eyes and a dark grey bang that's almost always covering her left eye. Her eyes are lime green. Ping is blind in her left eye. She has a scar going through that eye also. She also has a scar on her nose, across the left side of her muzzle, the left side of her cheek, two across her left flank, one on her tail, two on her left forepaw, one on her left foreleg, one on her left hindleg, one on her right hindleg, one on her right foreleg, and a triangle one under her right eye. She also wears a necklace with a crystal wolf pendent. On her right ear is a gold earring that is physically impossible to take off.

        Jessica – Jessica is a 2 foot tall dark grey cat. The inside of her ears are orange and she has red eyes. She has small flames that float above each one of her ears. She also has a bigger flame that floats above the tip of her tail.

        Maple – Maple is a 2 ½ feet cat who usually stands on her hindlegs. Her fur is a light maroon, her muzzle and chest fur is white, her two hindpaws are white, and the tip of her bushy tail is white also. She has bandages around her right forewrist and a green hoop earring on her right ear. She has golden eyes.

        Wakko – Wakko is a 2 foot tall husky with two red arm warmers. She has a blue bang and half her tail is blue. She has a white stripe down the middle of her face. She also has a baby blue eye (she only has one eye). She always wears a necklace with a blue crescent shaped moon/tooth.

        ShadeCloud (Shade) – Shade is a 3 ½ foot tall Power Wolf. She has black fur, purple hair, and the tip of her tail is purple. She has one white paw; her left hindpaw. Her right eye is purple while her left eye is blue. Her purple bang usually covers her purple eye though. She always wears a necklace with a heart pendent. Sometimes she wears a blue or red arm warmer on her left foreleg.

        Nicole – 5 foot wolfpire (vampire wolf hybrid). She has neon blue fur, a striped mane that's a light shade of purple and a dark shade of purple. Her legs are light shade of purple while two of her toes on every paw are a darker shade of purple. Her tail is very large and bushy and striped like this also. The same can be said for her hair/bangs. Her hindpaws always have their claws unsheathed and she has a bloody fang sticking out the left side of her mouth. Her eyes are a yellow/golden/amber color.

        Joshie – 3 foot tall wolf. Unknown if he is really all wolf or if he has some dog in him as well. His fur is a yellowish color, his paws are a cream color, his toes are brown, his muzzle is brown, his tail tip is brown with cream on the top, his ears are black. He has two black spots over his eyes. He has blue eyes. He has a black streak under each of his eyes. He has a triangular marking on each of his rumps. He wears an orange peace sign necklace and a golden triangle earring on his left ear. All his limbs have shackles on them with the chains broken on them from also escaping animal testing.

        Spazzy – 5 foot wolf/lioness hybrid who has neon blue fur with black stripes and various markings. She has one wolf ear and one lion ear.

        Mazie – Mazie is a 3 foot tall jackal with extremely dark grey fur. She has a lighter grey underbelly and a black stripe that runs down the sides of her flank separating the colors from an even darker grey on her back. Her hair/bang is black and she has red eyes. Her nose and the insides of her ears are blue. Her tongue and claws are green. Her paw pads are also green and they can glow.

        P.H. – (Real form unknown) 7 foot tall in any of his shapeshifter forms; he usually takes the form of a bear, wolf, cat, snake, or a simple human being. In his bear, wolf, or cat form, he has black fur, two red stripes going from both of his eyes, grey paws, with baby blue eyes. In his snake form, he has black scales with a long red stripe going down his back and baby blue eyes. In his human form, he has black hair with red highlights, baby blue eyes, and wears grey gloves. He wears a suit as spy would wear.

        Vivio-Sora (Viv) – 2 ½ foot tall SkunkCat. Skunk/cat hybrid. She's a cat with skunk markings and she has an electric blue "Star of David" on both of her rumps, but she is NOT Jewish. She has long white hair with electric blue highlights. Her eyes are blue.

        Naomi – Naomi is a 2 ½ foot tall dog that looks kind of like a fox. Infact, it is sometimes unclear whether she is a dog or a fox. She has maroon fur with a black and purple striped tail. She has very spiky hair. Her hair is maroon with black at the tips. Her right ear is almost all black with a purple tip. Her left ear is almost all purple with a black tip. Her paws are purple and her eyes are purple as well. She has a raccoon tail.
        
        Marysol – 3 foot tall dog with blue fur. She has white chest fur and her paws are also white. Her eyes are brown and the insides of her ears are white. The tip of her tail is white.

        Dusk – 4 foot tall wolf with light brown fur. Her mouth is stitched shut but somehow she can still talk. Her tongue is very long and it is striped black and light purple. She has green eyes and she also has stitches in other places on her body.

        Red - A 1 ¾ foot tall fox. He has the usual fox markings except his right forepaw is neon red and his left hindpaw is neon blue. His hair/bang is a dull red. He always wears a Cross necklace. Red's eyes are yellow. Red is a human-morpher.

        Matrix - A 3 foot tall serval with sand-colored fur. The back of her ears and the tip of her muzzle is a slightly darker, yet still sandy, brown than her fur. Her cheek fur is the same as her ears and muzzle. Her chest fur and her forelegs are black. On her left forepaw, her third toe is sand brown. On her right forepaw, her second toe is sand brown. Her left hindpaw is black and her right hindleg is splatter black down to her paw. From her nose to her tail is a black stripe. She has electric purple eyes. Sometimes a bright pink shine can be seen in her eyes. She has many tiny black spots all over her body. She has long black hair.

Jasmine – A 3 foot tall Dalmatian/wolf/husky hybrid. Her fur is a light brown and she has a neon pink stripe going straight down her back. Her tail is a husky tail, meaning it curls over her back and it is dandelion yellow. Her limps are a red-orange. On her each of her ankles, she has a maroon diamond. Her paws are orange and she has a purple stripe on her muzzle. Above this purple stripe is a pink stripe. On each of her ears she has a black tip. Her hair/bang is lime green with a black stripe. She wears a pink heart hoop earring. She has blue eyes.

Mark – 2 ¼ foot tall hyena. His fur is a light bluish grey and he has a light grey underbelly. His ankles and paws are black. He has a few grayish brown spots. He has a mane on his back which is black. His hair/bang is black with a dark blue streak in it.

"Once upon a time, not to far from here—" The mouse was cut off by a groan. He looked over at the young girl. She was laying on large rock, looking down at him. "What a boring start!" She yawned. The blue mouse chuckled and replied, "Well, Graybay, it is a fairytale. Although I very much agree, the beginnings are not exciting."

The black puppy started to chase her tail. She stopped and looked at the two. "Is there really another place other than the forest, Blue?" The puppy asked while chewing on her tail. Blue blinked and was silent for a moment. "'Course there is, Screwy! Lots of humans live there, too!" Graybay exclaimed.

Screwy leapt up onto Blue's head. "What'sa human?" She questioned, tilting her head. "Ugly and cruel creatures that look like the form GB's in." growled a girl's voice. The three looked in the direction of the voice and saw a light grey and maroon wolf. Her dark grey bang covered her left eye.

  "GB isn't ugly though, Ping!" Screwy said. Ping shrugged. "I never said she was. I said humans were." GB laughed then frowned. "What kinda story were you telling Screwy anyway, Blue?" GB asked. Blue opened his mouth to answer but Screwy slipped off his head and answered for him.

  "HE WAS TELLING ME ABOUT HOW PANCAKES ONCE RULED THE WORLD!!" She exclaimed. Ping stared at Screwy with an odd expression. GB was silent for a second. "Cool! I wonder if that'll really ever happen." GB wondered out loud. Ping raised an eyebrow and glanced at Blue.

  Blue laughed. "At the rate humans eat pancakes, it's scientifically impossible." He announced. GB rolled her eyes and slid off the rock, landing on the ground in her dog form. "Where is everyone anyway?" Ping said, looking around. "Uhh…Well Joshie, Spazzy, and Mazie are still asleep I think." GB yawned. "I believe Naomi, Dusk, Vivio, and Marysol went for a morning stroll." Blue said.

  "Wakko, Shade, Maple, Nicole, and Jessica went to go ambush you!" Screwy said happily while wagging her tail. "Oh I see…Wait what?" Ping looked down at the puppy. GB burst out laughing. "Dang it, Screwy! You blew our cover! AHHH!" A dark grey, red-eyed cat fell out of a tree, landing flat on her face infront of Ping. Ping looked at Jessica unamused.

  Jessica smiled sheepishly; her ears perked up and she tried to jump up as she heard Maple falling. "AHH!! WATCH OUT BELOW!" Maple screeched as she fell ontop of Jessica. The two cats fell back down onto the ground. The two looked at each other, then up at the small husky that was falling next. "Oof!" Wakko let out a grunt as she smushed the two below her.

  "Hey what gives?! I thought we were ambushing—" Wakko was cut off as ShadeCloud fell ontop of all three of them. "HAHAHA I CAN'T BREATHE DOWN HERE!" Jessica exclaimed happily. ShadeCloud looked around, confused. "Oops...Sorry." She said, getting up and off of the three. Ping stood there smirking at them.

  "Wow good job, you guys! You really had me scared there!" Ping said, walking away from them. Wakko jumped up and ran over to her. "Hey! You KNOW you would've been afraid—if we actually landed on you…that is." Wakko protested. "Yeah, I'm sure." Ping rolled her eyes. Maple sighed and glared at Jessica.

  "You told us she would be right there and to follow your lead! Look where that got us!" Maple snapped. Jessica got up, rubbing her head. "Have I ever mentioned how much I enjoy breathing?.." She took a deep breath and sighed. Jessica looked at Maple and frowned. "Yeah, but Screwy gave it away and uh..I kinda slipped." Screwy waved at them with a goofy grin on her face.

  ShadeCloud shrugged and grinned. "Oh well…" Ping looked at them, narrowing her eyes. "Hey…where's--?" Ping didn't get to finish as the wolfpire landed on her back. "AGHH! NICOLE GET OFF OF ME!" She yelped. Nicole smiled and jumped off, shaking her fur off.

  "Pie." She said, glancing around at everyone. Ping glared at the five icily. Jessica stifled a laugh. "Well think of it this way...atleast it was only Nicole!" GB piped up. Ping shot her a look.

  "What's with all the racket? Can't a canine get any sleep 'round 'ere?" Joshie yawned, walking over to them. "Apparently not because I've been awake this whole time!" Hissed Spazzy as she padded behind him. Screwy skipped over to them and climbed up Joshie's tail onto his back. "HI BIG BROTHER!" She exclaimed. He looked back at her and tried to shake her off his back.

  "Hi, Screwy..D'ya mind getting off me?" He asked. Screwy thought about it for a second. "Yeah!" She barked, jumping onto his head and curling into a ball. Joshie flattened his ears in annoyance and sighed. "GOOOOD MORNING EVERYONE!" Mazie cheered, jumping out from behind the rock Blue was now sitting on.

  "HI MAZIE!" Screwy yipped, wagging her tail. Mazie looked up at her and smiled. "Hey Screwy!" Mazie looked at Joshie and laughed. "Aww! Brother and Siser! How cute." Joshie mumbled something and laid down. Jessica looked at Blue and asked, "Are Viv and them still out?"

  Blue looked around and nodded. "It would seem that way…Unless they're next in line to ambush you, Ping." He grinned. Ping flattened her ears. "Oh shush." Jessica smiled, but it faded. "They've been out for a while, maybe we should look for them." She inquired.

  Spazzy raised an eyebrow. "Oh please. It's not like some hunter is gunna come along and pick'em up." GB nodded in agreement. "Yeah! Besides if that really did happen, Dusk would scare them away with her tongue!" She said, sticking out her own tongue and wiggling it around in weird movements. "Ewww stop that!!" ShadeCloud snapped. GB laughed.

  "Viv would probably spray them too. That would hold them off." Said Ping. Jessica was twirling the flame on her tail around with her paw. She looked at everyone and sighed. "I know, I know! But does it ever hurt to look?" She questioned. "It never hurts!" Blue smiled.

  "I'm up for a walk!" Wakko barked. "Me too! As long as I can ride on someone's back..." Maple said, raising her paw. "So we'll all go? Even though it's really a lost cause I think..." Spazzy said hotly. "Sure why not? It's a nice day, might as well take a walk." GB shrugged. Joshie got up and shook his fur off.

  The group headed off in the direction Naomi, Dusk, Vivio, and Marysol went for their walk. It was sunny out, but not too much sun shone through the trees down onto the forest floor. As they were walking and chatting away happily, they had no idea they were being watched and followed the whole time. GB was a hybrid shapeshifter. Her mom was a shapeshifter while her dad was a human.

  This meant she could only turn into a human or a dog. Ping had a few powers. One of them was the power of shapeshifting. She got this power from her mother. Unlike GB, however, she could shapeshift into whatever animal she pleased. Shapeshifting and human-morphing were two very different things.

  Human-morphing was the power to change into the form of a human. Joshie had this power. It's unsure if Screwy knows how to human-morph. She is still too young to try anyway. But yes, two different things...do not get them mixed up.

  The group was being followed by a special shapeshifter. A shapeshifter who knew how to human-morph. Even though it seemed unnecessary seeing as they can shapeshift, it's very useful. The form this shifter was in now was a bear. He was in the form of a large bear.  

  Nicole stopped and sniffed the air. "You smell something, 'Cole?" ShadeCloud asked. Nicole shrugged. "I'm not sure, Shade. But I think they're close by." "Who's close by?" Vivio meowed. "Ahh!" Spazzy stumbled back to avoid stepping on her.

  "Hi!" Vivio meowed smiling. Ping turned and looked at them. "Hi Viv! You guys have been gone a while so we came looking for ya's!" Jessica said happily. "Ah! I see..Marysol and Dusk are chasing a rabbit I think. Naomi is by the river. I was with her but I heard you guys and came to check it out." Vivio told them. Ping gave her a worried look.

  "Do you always investigate random noises, Vivio?" Ping asked doubtfully. "Now that you mention it—" Vivio was cut off by a splash. Joshie looked in the direction of the splashing. "I'm guessing that was Naomi?" He said. "Probably." They ran over to the river and saw Naomi soaking wet and spitting water out of her mouth.

  "Dang, remind me not to fish in this river again!" Naomi told them while squeezing some water out of her tail. GB smiled and ran into the water. "HI NAOMI! DID YOU KNOW YOU'RE ALL WET?" She laughed. Naomi looked at GB and replied, "Really!? I thought I felt a breeze..." Jessica hissed and walked away from the river.

  "Ohhh, I like water!" Screwy yipped. Wakko looked up at her. "Me too! Wanna swim with me?" Mazie looked at them. "Hey what about me!" Nicole smiled and grabbed them in her mouth. "Cannonball!" She exclaimed.

  Nicole jumped into the air, letting the three go in midair, and they all landed in the water with a huge splash. "AHH!!" Ping had her paws over her head, trying to shield herself from the oncoming tidal wave. Jessica was far enough away to avoid the splash. "Grr...You guys know I hate water." Ping hissed. She was dripping wet.

  Blue burst out laughing. "Ping! You look ridiculous!" Spazzy chuckled. Ping shook her fur off growling lowly. "Woaahh...Happy we weren't here for that shower!" Marysol barked padding over to everyone beside Dusk. Dusk's tongue was lolling out.

   "I wish you were! That was awesome!" GB padded out of the river and shook her fur off. Ping looked at GB with her eyes narrowed. "Speak for yourself." Dusk swished her tail and sat down. "So you guys joining our walk?" Dusk asked, tilting her head. Maple looked at everyone and then back at Dusk.

  "Sure why not?" She answered. "They said they came out looking for us because we were out a while." Vivio told them. Naomi laughed. "Oh great now we're children." The group headed off along a path they always took, still unaware that they were being followed. The shapeshifter that was following them soon morphed into a wolf and circled around them so he was now infront of the group.
  Ping stopped and stared at the shapeshifter cautiously. It wasn't very often they ran into another wolf in these woods. When they did, it was usually hostile. "Greetings. You lot are the Ekiks, correct?" The wolf asked while dipping his head slightly. The group looked at each other warily, not sure how to react.

  Almost no one knew who they were. They were the most odd yet powerful creatures in the forest. They weren't perfect, they weren't just "epic"…they were "Ekik". And they were better than you. This shapeshifter knew all about them.

  And he despised them. "Yeah we're the Ekiks! Got a problem?" GB asked nonchalantly. The wolf grinned and shook his head. "Quite the opposite, I am a huge fan." He frowned for a second. "But unfortunately I bring bad news." Marysol let out a snort.

  "Who are you anyway?" She questioned. "Like names matter..." He sighed, smirking. "But if I must tell you anything, my initials are P.H." GB let out a gasp. All the Ekiks looked at each other. "Well he doesn't have a triangular head..." Joshie started.

"Excuse me?" P.H. looked at Joshie. Joshie jumped and moved behind Spazzy. "Nothing!" P.H. circled the Ekiks once and then stood infront of them yet again. "Yes well anyway...I am sorry to say that this forest will now be home to purebred shapeshifters only" He paused and looked at GB and Ping. "Only. No exceptions." Ping and GB looked at each other, then back at P.H.

  "What the heck?" Spazzy walked up to P.H. and moved her head, up and down, looking at him. "Yeah, sorry pal, but you don't look like any shapeshifter I've ever seen." She let out a yawn and rejoined the others. P.H. blinked and growled lowly. "It is almost impossible to tell a purebred shapeshifter from a regular shapeshifter." He paused. "Or from a regular animal, that is." Marysol narrowed her eyes.

  "Ok, yeah. You're a 'purebred'. Good for you." Marysol hissed. "What does that have to do with us exactly?" Jessica ran over infront of P.H. and looked at the Ekiks with wide eyes. "Don't you see? All of us are different! Even if we aren't shapeshifters at all." She paused, glancing at P.H., then back at the Ekiks. "If we're here...we soil the 'pure' in 'purebred'!" Shade whimpered softly and looked at P.H. "So you're basically telling us to leave the forest?" She whined. P.H. smiled, but his eyes were sad.

  He nodded and continued on. "I'm afraid so. Please don't take it too hard however. We purebreds aren't as cruel as we seem." He stopped and started circling them again. "You see, we haven't just left you without a home. We have arranged for a friend of ours to escort you guys to the 'Urban Jungle'." Blue's cheeks sparked in rage. "You can't do this! The forest is big enough for all of us!" He protested. Ping growled.

  "There is no way I'm going to the city. I'm not living with a bunch of humans." She said stubbornly. All the Ekiks looked at each other and mumbled their agreement. P.H. raised an eyebrow and morphed into a snake. In his snake form, he was quite huge, being 7 feet long. Jessica looked at him and screamed, hiding behind Blue.

  GB growled and morphed into her human form, pulling her sword out. "Stay away from us." She warned, pointing it right at P.H. He hissed and slithered over to Joshie and up his leg, onto his back. "Ehh..." Joshie squeezed his eyes shut and stood as still as he could. Screwy looked down at P.H. and leapt from Joshie's head onto Blue's head.

  "Red will be here in a moment. You all are going to thisss city." P.H. slurred his words as a snake would. He raised himself up until he was facing all the Ekiks. "You all are going, or you all will be killed. One. By. One!" He bared his fangs as his finished his threat. Dusk snarled, slashing the air. "You wouldn't dare!" She growled.

  P.H. flicked his tongue and smiled. "Really?" He coiled himself around Joshie's neck and looked up into his face, fangs bared. Joshie opened one eye and screamed. "I'M TOO HANDSOME TO DIE!" Joshie howled, trying to pry P.H. off. Screwy jumped onto the snake, hanging onto it with her forepaws.

  Joshie gagged and looked at Blue desperately. P.H. hissed and tried to bite Screwy. Blue's cheeks sparked and he shocked P.H. right off of Joshie's neck. Joshie gasped and took in multiple deep breaths.

  "Are you insane?!" He yelped at P.H. Screwy growled and jumped back onto Joshie's head. Joshie ran over to the other Ekiks. He looked at Blue and nodded. "Thanks." Blue smiled. "Your welcome." P.H. morphed back into his bear form.

  He glared at all the Ekiks. "Red is here. I trust you will go with him without any trouble?" P.H. stared at them, his eyes daring anyone to speak out. All the Ekiks glared at him with pure hatred. "Good!" P.H. moved aside to show them a small fox. The fox looked up at the group and nodded.

  "Hey guys. I'm Red. I'll be guiding you to the city." Red smiled and motioned with his tail to follow. Ping looked back at the rest of the Ekiks doubtfully. "We don't really have a choice." Wakko sighed. Spazzy made a growling and hissing noise. "We could fight?" She said sarcastically.

  Naomi looked at her, shocked. "Pfft, yeah ok. You can fight. I'll figure something out at the city." Marysol said hotly, padding after Red. Shade looked at Nicole who shrugged. They both followed. Slowly but surely, only seven of the fourteen Ekiks remained.

  GB looked at Ping sadly and morphed into her dog form. "I feel like it's all our fault..." She whispered. Ping growled and smacked her over the head. "Don't say that! It's not your fault your father was a human." She said. Vivio nodded and jumped onto Ping's head.

  "Yeah! Besides, it doesn't matter if you guys were purebreds, something tells me they'd kick us out anyway." Vivio meowed. Blue rubbed the back of his head. "Well yeah, they'd kick us out. Not Ping and Graybay." He remarked. Ping looked offended. "You really think we'd stay here without you guys?" She snapped.

  GB didn't say anything and she sighed again. Jessica sat with her tail wrapped around her front paws. She looked up at everyone curiously. "So..are we going?" She asked. Vivio looked at GB and Ping.

  Blue looked at GB who looked at Ping. "Yeah, the others are probably half way there already." Ping mumbled. Blue squinted his eyes and shook his head. "Approximately 20 miles and three quarters there. If my math is correct." He announced. The girls gave him a look of confusion.

  He laughed and started to explain. "You see, it's really quite simple. I add the distance to and from here to the city. Then I subtract the time each person left. Then estimate how long it might have taken for everyone to catch up. Then I--" He cut off. "Blue...English! It's a wonderful language! I don't understand what you have against it." Ping said dryly. Blue rolled his eyes. "Oh haha..." The five followed Red and the Ekiks' trail.

  Vivio jumped up on her hindlegs for a moment and flopped back down. "They're up ahead." She mewed. Jessica zigzagged in between trees to catch up to them. Blue walked after her. GB looked around and then nudged Ping.
  Ping looked down at her. "Hm?" GB looked around once more. "Do you trust Jessica?" She whispered. Ping blinked a few times, taken aback. "Uh, yeah? I guess so..Why?" Ping shrugged.

  GB shrugged too. "No reason. I just don't feel comfortable around her." Vivio tilted her head and piped up. "I'm not to sure if I trust her or not, she's really sketchy if you ask me." GB nodded. Ping looked ahead at the young flaming cat. She was always so kind and playful; Ping couldn't imagine why GB and Viv would feel that way about her.

  Red looked back at the Ekiks, who were now all here. "Well Ekiks, this is your new home. The Urban Jungle." He moved aside to reveal a large city. Ping looked away, obviously revolted. Red sat straight up and faced them with his tail resting neatly over his paws. "All shapeshifters and human-morphers should change into your human form now."

  He gave a slight grin. "I don't think humans see a pack of animals walking in everyday." Only Screwy and Jessica laughed. Ping crouched down, letting Vivio off her head. Ping morphed into a human. Her human form was very tall, about 6ft.

  She wore a blue hoodie with a black howling wolf, pink shorts, aqua flip-flops, and she still had her wolf necklace in this form. She had dirty blonde hair that was up in a ponytail, dark brown eyes, and her wolf ears were still there. However they could only be seen by animals, shapeshifters, and human-morphers. Her scars were still there too. GB morphed into her human form next.

  Joshie morphed into his human form next. Like with Ping, his ears remained. Only so did his tail. He could keep his paws if he wanted. But either way, no human could see any of his canine features.

  Red was in his human form too. "Well Ekiks, follow me to the warehouse. That'll be were you truly live." Mazie raised an eyebrow. "A warehouse? That's where we're living from now on?" Red gave her a sympathetic look and nodded. Marysol pouted. "It isn't too bad. There's actually three animals living there already." Red explained.

  Spazzy rolled her eyes. "Wonderful." The group walked through the city streets. People stared in both horror and wonder. "Like them? They're our own generically altered mutants!" Joshie bellowed, acting like a circus ringmaster. Some people clapped.

  Other people yelled at them, calling them "animal haters", "cruel", "cold-hearted", etc. Ping didn't like that. Especially when it was the humans who were the cruel and cold-hearted ones. The animal haters. Vivio could see just how close she was to telling them off.

  "Ping, just ignore them. Telling them off in this form is going to make you look bad and make them look even better." Vivio meowed. "They're not worth it." Ping sighed and picked Vivio up in her arms. "You're right, Viv..." Vivio swished her tail and smiled. "I know!" Ping laughed and walked along with the others. Soon they all were standing infront of the warehouse doors.

  Red knocked on the doors in what seemed to be a pattern. Knock. Pause. Knock Knock. Pause.

  Knock. Pause. Knock. Long Pause. Knock quickly and stop.
  Red opened the door and went inside, motioning for them to follow. Inside wasn't much. But what there were were three animals. One of them looked up, as she was lying down, and eyed the new comers warily. Mazie looked at her, then at Red.
  
Red walked over to her and whispered something to her. The serval looked at them, her electric purple eyes flashing bright pink as she eyed them. Red walked back over to them. "Well, go meet your roommates! If you ever need me, go to the edge of the forest and wait until either sunrise or sunset." Red smiled sadly. And left the warehouse, the door slamming behind him.

   Dusk looked at the serval and smiled slightly. "Hello. I'm Dusk." The serval got up and stretched. She padded over to the Ekiks and circled them. Naomi watched her. "What's your name? I'm Naomi." The serval stopped infront of them and sat down, resting her tail next to her.

   "You guys are the Ekiks, aren't you?" She asked, impressed. Marysol nodded. "Yes, who are you?" The serval dismissed her with her tail and looked at Mazie. "Why are you guys here in the city? I was under the impression half of the Ekiks despised human beings." She questioned. Marysol growled, not happy with the fact that she was just dismissed by a wild cat.

   "We do." Ping answered for Mazie. The serval looked at Ping. "We have no choice but to be here." Mazie said. The serval was silent, then she blinked and nodded. "I see...P.H. did this right?" Jessica smiled.

   "How did you know?" Jessica asked. The serval got up and stared walking to the back of the warehouse. "He sent us here too." The Ekiks looked at each other. "'Us'?" They all said. The serval grinned and nodded.

   "Me, Matrix, by the way, Jasmine, and Mark." Matrix stopped at the back of the warehouse. There were separate man-made dens for everyone. "There were too many when we arrived. I had a feeling we wouldn't be the only ones...But I never expected the Ekiks." A small dog's head poked out of one of the dens. "Matrix? Did you call me?" She called. Matrix looked at her and shook her head.

   "No, but I was going too. Come here." The dog trotted over to the group. "Hi! I'm Jasmine!" She smiled. Jasmine's smile suddenly turned into a shocked expression. "No way...You guys are the Ekiks, huh?" She turned to Matrix. "P.H. can't exile the Ekiks!" Jessica looked at Nicole who shrugged.

   "Apparently he can." Came a screeching laugh. Matrix's face went blank with annoyance. She turned around to look at the laughing hyena. Jasmine frowned and looked at him. "Shush, Mark! It isn't they're fault!" Mark continued to laugh.

   He walked over to everyone, now chuckling. "Yeah yeah, I know. They're only here visiting." He burst out laughing again. Maple narrowed her eyes. "Why are you here then?" She questioned, crossing her arms. He stopped laugh abruptly.

   All the Ekiks smirked, except Jessica. He narrowed his eyes. "We don't speak of our exile." Mark stuck his tongue out and walked back to his den. Everyone was silent for a while. Jasmine scratched her ear and faked a cough.

   "Uhh, well...I should go. Nice meeting you guys!" She said, smiling. They all watched as the dog trotted back into her den. Matrix turned to them. "Sorry about him, the forest was his home. He felt special, being the only hyena in the forest." She paused and frowned. "Then again, we all felt special being in that forest...How many servals or..."

   She stopped and looked around the group. "Or jackals do you see in an ordinary forest?" Matrix grinned and headed back to her den. Blue sighed. "This has been exciting..." He said emotionlessly. Joshie yawned, now in wolf form.

   "I don't know 'bout you guys...But I'm exhausted. I'm gunna hit the hay, aight?" GB nodded. "Yeah, we should all get some rest." And with that, all the Ekiks were asleep in the dens. The next morning, the Ekiks said good morning to Matrix, Jasmine, and Mark and decided to explore the city. "Why do we have to explore such a horrible place?" Ping complained. Vivio laughed.

   "Come on, Ping! It might be fun!" Wakko protested. Ping muttered something under her breath. "Guys guys!! I can't find Jess!" Screwy cried, running over to everyone. Shade looked down at her. "What? Are you sure?" She asked.

   Screwy nodded. Joshie tilted her head. "Maybe she went out already?" Mark suggested. "You don't think she went to the forest, do you?" Dusk whispered to Blue. Blue shrugged.

   "Why would she? She's smarter than that." He told her. "Maybe we should check, just in case?" Nicole questioned. GB looked at Ping nervously. Ping shrugged. "I don't see why Jessica would go to the forest, but I guess it doesn't hurt to check."

   Ping blinked. "Besides, Red said if we needed him to go to the edge of the forest at sunrise." Spazzy raised an eyebrow. "Then we better get going." Jasmine waved as the group headed out. "Good luck! Come back soon." She barked. Mazie stopped and looked at Matrix.

   "Hey listen; if we don't come back...We decided to take the forest back. You might be coming home sooner than you think." Mazie told her. Matrix smiled. "Thank you." Mazie grinned and ran off after the others. Ping held onto Vivio in her arms. "These humans...I wish I could show them why I dislike them so much. They'll never understand." Ping sighed.

   Vivio looked up at her. "They'll learn someday...The hard way." She smiled. Ping grinned and continued walking. The Ekiks stopped at the edge of the forest. Red was there, but when he saw them he gasped and ran off.

   Spazzy narrowed her eyes. "Something tells me that's our cue to follow." She hissed. They raced off after the fox. Red was faster than they expected. Ping shot a plasma substance from her paw, one of her powers, to injure him.

   It hit Red in the left hindleg. Plasma from Ping's species of wolf is basically an extremely strong acid. It started to eat away at Red's fur. Red cried out in pain and looked at them. "Stop! Don't come any closer." He warned.

   Nicole stuck her tongue out and ran over to his side. Red sighed. "P.H. is with Jessica. Please...Don't hurt me!" He whined. Marysol glared at him. "You better stay right here!" Maple warned.

   Red nodded. "Don't worry, we'll watch him." The Ekiks turned around and looked at Matrix, Jasmine, and Mark. Maple smiled and nudged Red. "See them? They'll rip you to shreds, you hear?" Red nodded. "Good."

   The Ekiks followed Jessica's scent to a large depression in the Earth. "Woah..." GB kneeled down and looked inside it. "Be careful, Graybay." Blue warned. Blue's warning came too late. Fire shot out of the hole, inches away from GB.

   GB let out a terrified scream and she jumped back. "What the?!—" P.H. was ontop on the flame, in human form, smiling down at them. "What a creep..." Joshie mumbled. "Only one person I know could do that!" Shade exclaimed. Jessica jumped out of the hole.

   "Hi Ekiks. Nice to see you." She said nonchalantly. "Jessica! What was that for?! You almost fried me!" GB snapped. Jessica raised an eyebrow. She was emotionless. Actually, she had a bored expression, if anything.

   "Oh, I didn't get you?" She looked up at P.H. "I guess I missed."  Marysol snarled and lunged at her. "You traitor!" Jessica jumped out of the way and swished her tail around in a circle. Marysol was now in a circle of fire. GB growled and grabbed her sword.

   Jessica grinned and meowed. Fireballs pelted GB from thin air. "Eek!" GB covered her face. Marysol desperately tried to get out of the circle. Blue's cheeks sparked and he electrocuted Jessica, full force.

   She was paralyzed for a moment and then she blinked once, then twice. She hissed and then scratched Joshie's face. "Ow! That burns!" He complained, rubbing his cheek. She shrugged. "It happens." She created a flame that shot up into the air.

   She was now next to P.H. Nicole climbed on Spazzy's back to grab Marysol of the circle of fire. Marysol coughed a few times and then glared up at Jessica. "Why that little brat..." She growled. GB was in dog form now, she shook her fur off. "Ekiks! Please pay attention!" P.H. cried.

   "Do we have too?..." Wakko yawned. Jessica shot her a look, the flames on her ears blazing. "Soon, I will not only rule the forest. I will rule the world! Because I can! You are not aware of how many shapeshifters and human-morphers are actually out there! How many need a leader! A leader like me..." P.H. paused. "Me, Peter...Howard!"  The Ekiks were silent for a long while. Then everyone of them burst out in a fit of laughter.

   "Peter Howard?! What kind of name is that!? No wonder you go by P.H.!" GB sputtered. Joshie was doubled over in laugher. "Dude, I'm actually kinda sorry for you now..." He said. P.H. narrowed his eyes and jumped off the flame, morphing into a wolf midway down. "Silence!" He howled as he landed. The Ekiks backed away.

   It was over. No matter how funny this guys name was, he had beaten them. Unless... Maple looked at Blue. "Blue, what would happen if we combined all our powers?" Blue thought a moment.

   "An epic explosion of unknown proportions...Possibly." Spazzy smiled. "Then let's win this!" She roared. Jessica's eyes widened. "Peter..." She started. "Silence!" He snapped.

   "Look!" She hissed. P.H. turned to the Ekiks to find them using all the powers they had—at the same time. He whimpered as he was blown into the depression. Although, it is unknown if Jessica was blown into the hole as well. Red, Matrix, Jasmine, and Mark came over to them.

   "Turns out he was a prisoner. He had no choice." Mark said, giving Red a nudge. Red smiled sheepishly. "You all are welcome back here in the forest...If..you want...that is..." Red stammered. All the Ekiks cheered. Blue turned to Screwy and said, "Hey Screwy? Remember that fairytale about the pancakes?"

   All the Ekiks went silent and listened. Matrix, Jasmine, Red, and Mark listened too. Screwy tilted her head and smiled. "Yeah?" Blue grinned. "Well the pancakes ended up living happily ever after."
